Report from Patient Reference Group

Our Patient Reference Group has helped us organise a questionnaire. This was distributed to patients during the month of January 2012.

The results are available for you to read and we are happy to receive any comments.

Partnership changes at The Little Surgery

We are pleased to announce that from 1st April 2012, Dr Melanie Denton will be joining Dr John Fields as one of the GP partners in the Practice.

Dr Ruth Livingstone will be leaving the partnership. As many of our patients have noticed, Dr Livingstone has been spending very little time within the practice due to other commitments. We wish her well in the future.

Flu jabs for the winter

Protect yourself against flu and get a flu jab this winter.

Open clinics, just turn up:
Thursday 6th October 2011, 9:00am to 3:00pm.
Saturday 15th October 2011, 8:30am to 10:30am.

We particularly recommend the flu jab for people with respiratory problems and other long-term conditions. These include:

• asthma
  
• bronchitis and empysema
  
• heart conditions
  
• diabetes
  
• kidney problems
  
• people on long-term steroids
  
• reduced or low immunity
  

We also recommend the flu jab for pregnant women.

Part-Time Receptionist

We are looking to recruit a part-time receptionist to join our team.

New Practice Manager

We had many strong candidates for the post of Practice Manager and we are pleased to announce that we have appointed Kay Hircock to the position.

Kay started on the 1st June 2011 and we are very pleased to have her on our team. Kay has extensive experience within the NHS, having worked in Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals Trust and with provider services in Peterborough PCT.

Practice Manager

We are looking for a new Practice Manager.

• To prepare us for CQC accreditation.
• Manage our staff and keep us in order.
• Lead us forward into the brave new world of GP Commissioning.
• Have an overview of our business and finances.
• Make sure we are using our IT effectively and have the right systems and processes in place.
